How to Draw a Sack of Money Step by Step
This tutorial show how to draw a sack of money in six steps with very simple illustrated examples and quick explanations.
This is a fairly easy tutorial that that should not be too difficult even for beginners. You can see a preview of the drawing steps for it in the above example.
In addition to money you can also use it it for drawing a sack of other things such as grain, gold etc… Simply take out the $ or replace it with something else.
While the drawing is fairly simple it’s still recommended that you start it in pencil just in case you make a mistake.
Step 1 – Draw the Bottom Part of the Sack
Begin by drawing the bottom part of the sack. You can make it’s shape as a sort of flattened drop of water (especially at the bottom) with an open top.
Step 2 – Draw the Rope
At the opening at the top add a rope that’s used to tie the sack. Draw is as several “layers” similar to what is shown in the example with a little bit sticking out to the side.
Step 3 – Draw the Upper Part of the Sack
At the top draw the upper part of the sack. For this step it will basically be three large folds created by it being squeezed by the rope. Make the folds narrower at the bottom and wider towards the top so that they sort of “fan out” as they go up.
Step 4 – Draw the Folds
Add a few smaller folds around the area tied by the rope (both top and bottom) as shown in the example.
Step 5 – Add Money Sign & Finish the Line Drawing
In the middle of the large bottom part of the sack draw a money/dollar sign ($) as shown in the example.
Afterwards trace over your lines with a black pen/marker or if you don’t have one of those around simply darken them with the pencil.
Step 6 – Color the Sack
To color the sack you can make it brown and the rope/$ yellow. Just about any coloring option will work. You can use colored pencils, markers paints, etc… Basically whatever you prefer.
Once done applying the color you should be finished with the drawing.
Conclusion
The focus of this tutorial is on drawing a sack of money with a $ sign on it. However, you can also use pretty much the same steps for drawing a sack of something else. Just take out or replace the money/dollar sign. For example it can be a bag of rain, gold or even some magical powder (such as those often found in games).
